Ben Kewish has been a physiotherapist since 2001, initially focused on Sports and Spinal physio. He became the owner of Hills Physiotherapy Clinic in 2012. Ben has grown the business into one of the premiere Allied Health facilities in Victoria. Ben found a passion for helping people who suffer debilitating, persistent pain. He created the Active Pain Recovery group with Emerald Psychology, giving real hope to people who have pain that has not improved with conventional therapy. He now focuses on chronic pain, and how to help people understand, reduce, and move past this crippling condition.

Dr Taryn Shugg is an osteopath, graduating from Victoria University with a Bachelor of Clinical Science and a Masters of Health Science in 2007. Taryn has also completed additional studies in paediatrics and obstetric care. She is registered with the Osteopathy Board of Australia and is a member of the Australian Osteopathic Association.

Taryn is experienced in many areas of practice including sports therapy, rehabilitation and paediatrics. With an extensive sporting background playing netball and state level softball, as well as experience working as a sports trainer, Taryn understands what it takes to be at your optimal physical fitness, and how Osteopathy can aid in achieving this.

Taryn has completed further studies in the field of paediatrics and infant manual therapy. Taryn receives referrals from Maternal Child Health Nurses, Midwives, GP’s and other parents for many common conditions in newborns and infants which require treatment including structural injuries following the birth process, and any pain or irritability as a result of these. Treatment of the young is very rewarding as problems can be prevented from developing into chronic conditions in later years.

Taryn’s approach to treatment is very hands on utilising osteopathic manual techniques, as well as soft tissue massage and exercise prescription. Taryn is a friendly practitioner who enjoys working with people of all ages and walks of life.

Amy Isaac

Pilates Instructor, Myotherapist

Amy has been a practicing Myotherapist since 2008 and pursed her Pilates qualification in 2012 to rehabilitate a back injury. Amy has a special interest in helping people suffering with musculoskeletal pain and it’s associated conditions that come with the stressors of everyday life and pre and postnatal care. With the use of her extensive Myotherapy skills and Pilates repertoire Amy is very passionate to help you rehabilitate new and old injuries, reduce pain and sensitivity and to restore function to movement patterns which can be effected by pain, stress, pregnancy, postpartum, sports and activities.

Alysia Raftery

Myotherapist, Naturopath

Alysia is a degree qualified Naturopath and Myotherapist completing her studies at RMIT in 2001, and Endeavour College of Natural Therapies in 2008. Alysia has 12 years of experience in the natural health industry. She keeps up to date with the latest scientific research and information on complementary medicine and applies these latest tools to her treatment. . Her passions are fertility, pregnancy, children's health, musculoskeletal pain management, and weight loss.
Alysia brings warmth and a sense of humour each of her consults. She recognises that each person has unique treatment requirements and uses her analytical skills to provide the best treatment plan for them. Alysia is a current member of ATMS and MAA

Cobie graduated from RMIT with an Advanced Diploma of Applied Science majoring in Myotherapy in 2005 and has focused her work in a clinical setting since. With previous history of working with various sporting clubs including two AFL teams, Cobie has a keen interest in treating sporting injuries as well as postural imbalances due to regular workplace life stresses, sciatic and low back pain, headaches and migraines relating to neck and TMJ dysfunction, amongst many ailments.
Cobie combines many treatment techniques to restore equilibrium including deep tissue manipulation, myofascial dry needling, myofascial cupping, heat/cryotherapy, corrective exercises and more recently manual lymphatic draining to support the body's natural immune system and reduce edema (swelling) in the body.
As an active member of MAA, Cobie takes a keen interest in learning new and exciting treatment techniques through various courses and in her spare time Cobie enjoys sports and loves playing a good game of Netball and Softball.

Eugenia Quach

Physiotherapist

After completing her Bachelor of Science with Honours, Eugenia went on to complete the Doctor of Physiotherapy at The University of Melbourne.

Growing up Eugenia loved playing sports, and thus has a keen interest in sports and musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. Additionally she has had the opportunity to work with local football teams including VAFA Premier A club, Old Xaverians.

She also has an interest in neurological conditions and completed an internship at the National Hospital of Neurology and Neurosurgery in London, 2018. Eugenia is committed to providing a high standard of patient care and evidence based treatment through individualised exercise prescription and manual therapy techniques, including dry needling.

Outside of work, Eugenia plays tennis and enjoys bouldering and rock climbing. When time permits, she also enjoys hiking, camping and travelling

Lachlan Porter

Physiotherapist

Lachlan is an Accredited Exercise Scientist and Physiotherapist with a background in sport and exercise.

Previously, Lachlan's work was in team sports, predominantly in the VFL as a Rehab Coordinator, and he is currently the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Nunawading Swimming Club. Privately, Lachlan has also consulted clients as a personal trainer and S&C coach, to help them achieve their sports, health and fitness goals.

Lachlan's areas of interest in Physiotherapy are in managing sports injuries, as well as common musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. He also places a strong importance on occupational/workplace health, and general health and wellbeing promotion.

Lachlan is passionate about providing patient-centred and evidence-informed care, as well as empowering people to achieve their best quality of life.

When he's not at work Lachlan loves sports (especially golf), music, reading, coffee, food, and spending time with his partner and his pet bulldog

Tim completed a Bachelor degree in Exercise Science /Human Movement at Deakin University, before relocating to Adelaide to pursue a passion for Physiotherapy. Upon returning to Melbourne and completing his Bachelor degree in Physiotherapy from La Trobe University, Tim set about building a career as both a Physiotherapist and Personal trainer. He loves helping people from all walks of life and takes pride aiding in recovery from injury via delivering quality manual therapy, exercise/movement interventions & education to empower patients.
Outside of work he is an avid crossfitter, surfer, NFL fan, and loves to travel to places off the tourist path.

Michelle has always had an interest in the fitness industry but unsure of which path to follow when the penny dropped she decided it was time to study how to teach Pilates to pass the benefits on to others that she had been learning in classes herself. Michelle is continuing her studies through National Pilates Training. With a background in Calisthenics Michelle enjoys teaching the pilates method focusing on movement, lengthening and control.
